George Balchunas
George’s practice is focused on business transactions. He has
real property and asset based financing experience, representing a number of local and national lenders. He often acts as local Pennsylvania counsel for money center banks, conduit lenders and borrowers in multi-state and multi-national financing transactions. George also represents lenders and borrowers in workout and collection situations, bringing a “back-end” perspective to his finance practice. George has significant business organization experience, having assisted clients in the creation, management, merger and acquisition of all forms of business entities. George also negotiates and drafts intellectual property agreements, such as software and trademark licensing agreements, internet hosting agreements and intellectual property development agreements.
Born in Flushing, New York, George is a member of the Church Council at St. John’s Lutheran (Sinking Spring), serving as the Chair of its Stewardship Committee and as a Sunday school teacher. George also coaches youth sports on a year round basis and is a Cub Scout Den Leader. He has formerly served as a member of the Board of Directors of the Reading Symphony Orchestra and continues to serve as a member of its Development Committee. George has also served as a member of the Ad Hoc Executive Director Search Committee for the Reading Jewish Community Center. He is a member of the Pennsylvania and American Bar Associations.
