Sharyn E. Young joined Kozloff Stoudt in 2025, bringing with her over 25 years of advanced experience in municipal planning, zoning, and land use law. Now serving as a Paralegal with a focus on municipal and school law, Sharyn’s extensive background uniquely positions her to contribute meaningfully to the firm’s government-related practice areas.
Prior to joining the firm, Sharyn held key roles in both the public and private sectors, including positions with municipalities in Lehigh and Lancaster Counties, the Lancaster County Planning Commission, and a private land development company. Her professional experience encompasses drafting ordinances and legal agreements, navigating regulatory procedures, and participating in a wide range of legal proceedings related to planning and zoning.
Sharyn holds a Bachelor of Science in Political Science from Moravian College, a Master of Science in Community and Regional Planning from Temple University, and a Certificate in Paralegal Studies from Harrisburg Area Community College.
Her interest in the legal field was sparked during graduate school, where a chance encounter with a land use paralegal inspired her to explore the profession. Today, she finds the most fulfillment in being part of a field that provides essential services to communities and organizations—and in the opportunity to continually expand her knowledge of the law.
Originally from Hunterdon County, New Jersey, Sharyn enjoys a wide range of interests outside the office, including gardening, hiking, camping, reading, jigsaw puzzles, antiques, and cheering on the Phillies. She and her husband Jeff enjoy spending time with their family, including her stepson, and share their home with a rescued pit bull mix, four cats, and a 14-inch pleco fish. They also enjoy getaways to their house near Lake George. A former glider pilot and motorcycle rider, Sharyn has a love for adventure and has traveled internationally, with past visits to Russia and Denmark.
If she hadn’t pursued a career in the legal field, Sharyn’s dream would be to operate a cat rescue ranch. She is excited to be part of the Kozloff Stoudt team and to fulfill her longtime goal of working in municipal law.
